David Adams, Chief Executive Officer
Dave Adams is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Michigan Credit Union League, CUcorp, and CU Village.com, all based in Plymouth, Michigan with additional offices in Lansing, Michigan. Through management agreements, Mr. Adams also provides management services for two other companies: HR Value Group, a human resources consulting and recruiting company, and League InfoSight, a consortium of state credit union associations providing regulatory compliance technology and content to credit unions nationwide.

Mr. Adams joined the Michigan Credit Union League in August of 1997. Prior to accepting the position with Michigan, Dave was president and CEO of the Washington Credit Union League and LSI, Inc. for six years. He also served on the staff of the Utah Credit Union League for eight years, the last three as president/CEO.

During his credit union career, Adams has held numerous board seats and committee assignments including work for the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). He also serves as a trustee of the Michigan Credit Union Foundation and has served as a board member of the NYCE Corporation. Currently he serves as a member of Michigan Governor Granholm’s Council of Economic Advisors. He has previously served on the board of a Corporate Credit Union and a natural person credit union.

A native of Utah, Mr. Adams received a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah before earning his master's in business administration at Utah State University.

As president of the Michigan Credit Union League and CUcorp, its for-profit subsidiary, Adams has been a champion of credit union cooperative principles, the application of technology to service delivery and of focus on the core important trade association functions of advocacy and information services for the credit union community.

As CEO of CU Village.com, Inc., he has been instrumental in the creation and implementation of a company whose sole focus is providing credit unions and credit union associations with tools for enhanced Internet service delivery.

Mr. Adams has also taught Financial Institutions Management at the graduate level for Wayne State University and at the undergraduate level at the University of Michigan, ranked among the top ten business colleges in the U.S.

Adams lists boating, fishing, golf, music, computers, reading, hiking and sports as his interests and hobbies.

Greg A. Fouks, President/Chief Operating Officer
Combining more than two decades of experience and a nationally-recognized record of success, Greg Fouks is Managing Director of Executive Search for HRValue Group. In that role, Fouks is responsible for designing customized executive search programs tailored to fit the specific needs of our clients. This includes candidate identification, recruitment, assessment, referencing, and negotiations.

A respected authority on research and executive search methodologies, Fouks came to HRValue Group from a prominent Minneapolis Executive Search firm where he was Vice President for almost four years. He previously served in executive management capacities for several international consulting firms serving the healthcare and financial service industries. Before founding his own executive search firm, he began his career with the Minnesota Mutual Companies and worked extensively with financial service and credit union clients.

Fouks holds a Bachelor's degree from St. Cloud State University and received his Chartered Life Underwriters certificate (CLU) in 1979. He is also the Board Chair of The Raptor Center in St. Paul, MN.

Monica Burnett, Human Resources Generalist/Consultant

A graduate of the University of Tulsa with a bachelor's degree in Communication (cum laude) and a Master's of Business Administration, Monica Burnett brings more than nine years of human resources experience to her role as Human Resources Generalist/Consultant for HRValue Group.

Prior to joining HRValue Group, Burnett was Human Resources Manager for GPX,Inc., an international consumer electronics company; and she began her human resources career with The Williams Companies, a diversified energy company headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Burnett worked with several different lines of business for Williams, providing human resources business consulting and generalist support. She has successfully developed and implemented a wide array of human resources programs-including performance management, college recruiting, HR Scorecarding, and training-which she applies directly to her work for HRValue Group clients. Burnett also has extensive merger and acquisition experience.

Certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society for Human Resources Management, Burnett is a current member of the national SHRM organization, as well as the local HRMA St. Louis chapter. She is a volunteer for Junior Achievement.

Michael L. Dougal, Director, HR Consulting
A graduate of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, Michael Dougal has over 15 years of progressive human resource management and consulting experience. Dougal is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management, and he is currently a member of the Cumberland Valley Chapter of SHRM.

In 1995, Dougal accepted the position of Human Resource Consultant with the Pennsylvania Credit Union League; and in 1999, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Education & Professional Development. In that position, he oversaw the planning and delivery of the League's education and training programs, as well as the human resource programs offered to Pennsylvania credit unions. Then, in 2000, Dougal advanced his career by accepting the position of Human Resource Manager with a national human services agency.

As Principal Consultant for Pennsylvania, Mike is responsible for designing customized HR solutions for credit unions desiring to increase their organization value. Providing expertise in the areas of compensation systems, benefits analysis, policy development, and performance management, Dougal provides high quality, integrated human resource services and consultation.

Jon Drogheo, HR Consultant
Jon Drogheo is a Certified Human Resources Professional with a Masters Degree of Education and Human Resource Studies in Organizational Performance and Change from Colorado State University. Jon has an extensive Human Resources background with organizations such as Pitney Bowes, TIAA-CREF, New Global Telecom, and Nextel Communications.

Jon’s extensive background in developing employee engagement initiatives, career development models, management and leadership development, performance measurements, process mapping, and organizational operations structure are the foundations of his human resources consulting experience.

Jon is a consultant to top managers and executives regarding performance development, management coaching, and organizational operational effectiveness. Jon’s expertise has contributed to the implementation of many successful initiatives such as, developing a standard recruiting model for large sales organization by appropriately targeting local recruiting practices to attract quality, skilled business experience applicants who exceed performance goals.

Jon is active in the community serving on the Board of Directors for organizations such as the Doane College Alumni Association, the Hispanic Annual Salute, and the Society of Hispanic Human Resource Professionals (SHHRP). Jon is also a member of the Jobing.com Financial Services Professional Advisory Council (PAC).

Jim Fournier, Vice President HRValue Group - Michigan Franchise
A graduate of Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, MI, with a bachelor’s degree in management & Organizational Development, Jim brings nearly fifteen years of credit union and HR experience and over thirty years of financial institution experience to HRValue Group.

Since 1993 Jim has been employed by the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL) and CUcorp, its for-profit service corporation. His role at MCUL is to manage the League’s human resources department and a division of CUcorp – CU HR Solutions/The CUCare® Group. Under The CUCare® Group, CUcorp’s insurance agency, resides MCUL’s successful Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) association program for credit unions in Michigan.

Along side the insurance business, Jim’s other responsibility is for CU HR Solutions. It provides credit unions with needed human resources products and services such as Salary/Compensation Management, HR policy manuals, employee handbooks, job descriptions, COBRA compliance services, employee surveys, operations policy manuals and disaster recovery manuals.

In early 2005, Jim was instrumental in forming a partnership with CareerBuilder™, the national’s largest on-line recruiting portal to form a special program specifically for credit unions, CUSOs and leagues. Pamela Glubka, Executive Search Recruiter                                                                                                                                 
Pam Glubka brings many years of staffing, recruitment, testing and customer service experience with her to her role as Executive Search Recruiter for HRValue Group. At HRValue Group she will be responsible for candidate identification and recruitment.

Prior to joining HRValue Group in 2006, Glubka served as a Senior Staffing Associate for a Fortune 500 global Human Resources services firm, where she successfully placed numerous executive and technical candidates. She previously worked as a Member Service Manager for a regional health club, and as a Customer Service Manager for an international organization. Pam brings with her professionalism and integrity and takes pride in her service skills.

Marisa Hinnenkamp, Executive Search Consultant
Marisa Hinnenkamp brings many years of nationally-recognized recruiting and candidate identification experience with her to her role as Executive Search Consultant for HRValue Group. At HRValue Group she will be responsible for candidate identification, recruitment, assessment, referencing, and negotiations.

Hinnenkamp came to HRValue Group from a top Minnesota executive search firm, where she worked as an Executive Recruiter. She previously served as a Consultant with Clark Consulting, working with Boards of Directors and senior management to audit and design base salary programs, short- and long-term incentive plans, performance appraisals, and total compensation programs designed to ensure that executive compensation programs were in compliance with laws governing not-for-profit organizations. Prior to her work at Clark Consulting, Hinnenkamp served as a Senior Associate with Tor Dahl & Associates as a co-presenter, project manager, interviewer, data analyst, seminar analyst, and work group facilitator.

Hinnenkamp holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kalamazoo College and completed her senior thesis at the prestigious Neuropsychiatric Institute at the UCLA Medical School. She also completed studies at the International Institute in Madrid, Spain.

Gene Mandarino, Management Training Director
Gene Mandarino has been HRValue Group's Management Training Director since 2002. He brings more than ten years experience in organizational development and training to the HRValue Group team, and he has designed and initiated training and organizational development programs across a wide spectrum of businesses.

Mandarino previously worked as Organizational Development Manager for Arthur Andersen's professional education division in St Charles, Illinois. There he originated workshops on team leadership, interpersonal communications, mentoring, and effective meetings; he facilitated team development and strategic planning processes; and he implemented performance management programs. His experience also includes designing and conducting programs on supervision skills, customer relations, leadership, and team problem solving for businesses, municipalities, and colleges as a member of the Denniston Consulting group in Lisle, Illinois.

At HRValue Group, Mandarino works to elevate the performance of credit union teams all across the country, developing and delivering training products and services. His focus is on relevant and meaningful leadership and management training modules.

Mandarino holds a master's degree in Organizational Development from Loyola University in Chicago and a bachelor's degree in Business from Denver University. He is a member of the South Central Wisconsin Chapter for the Society for Training and Development.

Dan Santangelo, HR Consultant
Dan Santangelo has worked with credit unions for the past 15 years in the areas of education and training, Member Services as well as HR consulting. He has trained credit union staff, managers and volunteers in many aspects of credit union management, staff relations, sales, communications, marketing, performance management, personnel policies, recruitment and selection, staff retention and more.

Dan is Sr. Vice President of HR/Member Services for the Credit Union Association of Colorado and the Credit Union Association of Wyoming. In his capacity as SVP he manages the education, member services and HR consulting function of the Association. Dan has also served as Vice President of Educational Development for the Illinois Credit Union League, Director of Human Resource Services for the Colorado Credit Union League and National Director of Educational Development for CUNA & Affiliates.

In these roles, Dan has trained credit union professional, designed and developed training program and materials, consulted with credit unions on a wide range of topics including credit union development, strategic planning, credit union operations, human resources and more. Dan is also the contributing author of Performance Management MERIT Module and the developer of several CD-ROM training programs for credit unions. He has been a featured columnist in Credit Union Magazine.

Dan holds his Bachelor's of Science degree from Regis University and his Master from the University of Denver.

Jessica Strasser, SPHR, Managing Consultant, HRValue Group - Michigan Franchise
Jessica Strasser has been working in the Human Resources & Organizational Development field since 1998. A “true generalist”, she brings a variety of experience in organizational development and training, strategic human resource systems management and staffing & selection.

Strasser works as Managing Consultant of the HRValue Group Michigan franchise. Strasser served The Michigan Credit Union League and subsidiaries, most recently as Director of Human Resources, from 1999-2007. Strasser has worked with many credit union clients in the Great Lakes region, where she creates and facilitates workshops on harassment prevention; conducts assessment and recommendations for improvement related to human resource management systems; and provision of staffing & selection services.

At HRValue Group, Strasser strives to elevate the performance of credit union teams all across the country, developing and delivering custom HR consulting services.

Strasser holds a master’s degree in Human Resources & Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in Communications from The University of Michigan-Dearborn. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Denise Wambsganss, Recruiter
Denise Wambsganss is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Denise is a veteran of the recruiting business, with over 20 years of proven expertise in Executive Search and Recruiting. She has been responsible for candidate identification, recruitment, assessment, referencing, and negotiations. She brings with her a high degree of professionalism and integrity. Denise is one of the founders, and sat on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Technical Recruiters Network, the state of Colorado’s largest association dedicated to recruiting practices. Prior to working for the Credit Union Association Denise played a key role working for industry leaders such as Anderson Consulting, Storage Technology, JD Edwards, Sprint PCS, and Cherry Creek Mortgage.
